Digitisation is the practice of converting physical information into a digital (computer-readable format), by using digital technologies. Name of the Project: Digitization of Books, Periodicals, Manuscripts and Historical Books. An initiative has been taken by the IT Department of Govt. of Assam with AMTRON to scan and digitize the "Xasipaat Puthi" and other historical documents of "Satra's" all over the state.
